A basic knowledge of IT, such as using a mouse and keyboard will be required to benefit from this course.
This qualification is now a recognised qualification by all employers. It will demonstrate to future employers that you are willing to learn additional skills when needed. It will also help you with your own personal skills and, perhaps, help you to support your children. Anyone wishing to use a computer more effectively at home, in an office, factory, in retail or set up their own business will gain from completing this course. This qualification will be delivered to you by a highly skilled and experienced tutor who will discuss your individual needs to ensure you get the most out of the course. It will enable you to develop a range of digital skills for work and life including: Using digital devices and handling information Creating, editing and storing digital media Communicating through digital services Safely carrying out online transactions Being safe and responsible online We offer this at Entry Level 3 and Level 1. Your level will be assessed and agreed with you before you start the course to ensure the course will be right for you.
This is a classroom based course.
You do not need to bring anything with you to this course.
Programme delivery will include a combination of structured learning materials and face-to-face delivery with the opportunity to use our online systems for support. Each unit is assessed through the completion of skills and knowledge as you progress. You will need to attend the centre each week and undertake the online exam at the end of the course.

The more computer skills you have, the more confidence you will gain to research and obtain information for household and leisure activities, volunteering opportunities or even employment, if desired.
